DESCRIPTION: The witch who accepted her fate as a monstrous woman, but now seeks to find a little bit of peace after (mostly) abandoning her ideas of revenge. Cruel and sadistic when needed, but intelligent and shrewd otherwise.
DESCRIPTION: The great King of Conquerors. Boisterous, loud, and as subtle as a brick, all of his eccentric ways hide his brilliance as a charismatic man and as a leader.
DESCRIPTION: Devout to fault, and more caught up in others' sins and punishments than his own. Serious and bound to the idea of duty, but man, those gypsies give you boners ok
DESCRIPTION: The stereotypical high school girl forced to grow up after her own death and battle for survival. Emotionally unstable and selfish, but she's learning to value life and others.
[ It had been a few years since they had woken up on that island. With time, they had all accepted the strangeness, and now, it felt like a distant memory more than anything. The fact that they woke up in a field of red flowers together... It felt natural.
So it had also felt natural to leave.
When people noticed them, recognized them, it was too strange and startling. No matter how any of them searched through memories, it was just simply that they weren't there. So without anyone else to turn to but each other, they had decided to leave. It was Claire's suggestion that they head out West, and without any other real idea of where to go... Why not? It was how they fell into their nice pattern of finding a place to stop, staying there for about two years (before anyone noticed that they didn't age), and they would move onto somewhere else.
Everyone else was pretty much fine with that, but Rachel didn't care for it. It was lonely, though she couldn't quite find that word to explain it. No one else seemed to really get it that it was sad to spend two years making friends, starting a new life, then having to uproot and leave again. Or if they did, they just didn't care as much as she did. It was that time again recently, which is why she's thinking about it so much. She missed Kevin, Kaitlyn, Mark... And now they were in the middle of fucking nowhere because Claire had managed to get a job for the summer at Yosemite. It paid the bills, and it paid them pretty well, but...
Rachel sighs heavily, spritzing on more of her Amber perfume. That campfire smell was going to kill her. She hears footsteps and glances back, seeing Kate approach with two cups in her hand. She maybe quietly grateful, but mostly, she just feels like airing her displeasure. ]
This sucks. We should have just gone to LA... [ Not that they could afford it... ]
[ Kate went with the flow well enough. She wasn't used to roughing it, no, but her connections.. they were easy to leave behind, as quiet Kate never made too many to begin with. She was fine with her three friends. Her three friends for life. It only occurred to Kate occasionally that this was the lives they'd lead for all of eternity, constant vagabonds traveling from one end of the continent to the other.
Sometimes she forgot they weren't normal. Times like this, when they were by the camp fire, the smell of perfume, burning wood, and freshly juiced lemons blending together in one citrusy wooden scent — these were the times when Kate felt alive. She's wearing an uncharacteristic smile on her face as she shits, handing one tea with lemon over to Rachel. ]
Rachel.. You know we wouldn't be able to make it there. [ survive, yes, but not comfortably. She takes a sip, lightly recoiling at the bitterness. It was something she'd never get used to. ] Rose and Claire seem to like it here. [ they were more connected to the wild, it seemed.. Kate, however, was always more of an indoors person. She got the vibe that Rachel was, too. ]
DESCRIPTION: A sweet looking little girl that hides a vicious sadist, both physical and sexual. Fierce and much more grown up than her appearance would lead you to believe.
DESCRIPTION: The Alice of a self-created Wonderland created as a coping mechanism. Shy, untrusting, and damaged, but fiercely protective and dedicated.
DESCRIPTION: Wish-granting witch. All your hearts desires are in her hands, if you're willing to pay the price. A two-sided coin of playful whimsy and shrewd dealings.
DESCRIPTION: A bubbly, innocent young woman who is actually one of the most powerful beings in her universe. A vampire who doesn't want to feed on others, and confined to a life of duty.
DESCRIPTION: Neurotic and apologetic, but trying to improve herself and help those around her. Very kind and self-sacrificing, and very loving to those she cares for.
DESCRIPTION: The clever leader of a bang of viking mercenaries. Easygoing at first glance, but it hides a ruthlessness and intelligence that impresses all he meets.
DESCRIPTION: The cross-dressing captain of the 18th century French royal guard. Friendly and helpful, but also fiercely devoted to France, whatever that may mean in a time of transition and revolution.
DESCRIPTION: A newly anointed queen who has to grow up quickly from a spoiled princess into a great leader to her people. Still, she has a lot to learn.
[ It had just kind of started as an idle idea, so Chie was surprised that it had worked.
Yukiko always did her best to hide it, but Chie had always been able to tell when she was stressed. It was little things, like how she would space out (more than usual), and the way her eyebrows would have a habit of just automatically knitting together, but that's why they were best friends, right? She knew to look for those kinds of things.
The inn had been getting pretty busy during the winter, so it wasn't a surprise that she was stressed out, but she knew she was going to explode if she didn't do something to get away for at least a weekend or something. She had told Yukiko about her grandparent's home in Kusatsu, how it was really nice and peaceful, and that she definitely needed a weekend off. It had taken more effort to convince Yukiko to take the weekend off than it did to convince their parents to let them go.
...Of course, Chie didn't exactly know when her grandparents had welcomed them that they wouldn't actually be there. It was kind of typical that they would sort of forget they had company and go down to Okinawa, but still!
They've just gotten to the house and are settling in, but Chie is still sort of complaining about her forgetful grandparents. And the draft. She had forgotten how old their house was... ]
Sheesh, we better keep this a secret... I know my parents would be pissed if they knew we were here alone, and I'm pretty sure yours wouldn't be any happier...
[ She starts looking through the cabinets, jogging in place as if to warm herself back up. It's not quite that cold, but she's got some restless energy still. ]
Some escape... I guess this is better than I was thinking, for that, but still. It's not as glamorous as your inn, but at least the view is ni— [ She cuts off that sentence, standing on her toes to pull stuff out of the cabinets. ] —Oh, hey, they've got stuff to make tea. I'm not any good at using matcha, though, so do you think you could? Something warm would be great right about now.
[ p.s. this is my first time actually playing chie so forgive me if she's off!! ]
I'm worried, Chie.. Should I call my parents? [ a brief pause. ] Do the phones even work here? [ sorry if that's rude, but they're so far from civilization and everything is frozen!! Yukiko can't help but feel like they're trapped in the wilderness or something. ]
Oh, matcha? We use it all the time at the inn. It's a lot more convenient than having to brew whole pots of tea for several guests, so even if it's not the real thing, we use it often.. [ Yukiko walks over to the cabinet and gingerly pulls out the canister. She may suck at cooking, but at least she can't fuck this up. Reaching into another cabinet, she pulls out two, traditional styled tea cups and begins to pour a bit of matcha in each, to prepare the process. ] Er, Chie, do they have a hot water heater here?
[ rude as fuck yukiko ]
[ also i'm so out of practice with yukiko so w/e we will learn/relearn 2gether ]
Oh, come on, it's not that remote. I'm sure the phones work! It's not like we're alone in Tokyo or something, so it's not a big deal.
[ She had to call them after all!! Though they did say that their service was unreliable... Hm. Better not say that, though. ]
Uh, but yeah, I think they have one... [ She starts digging through more cabinets looking for one. ] Now where it is, that's probably a better question...
DESCRIPTION: A rather frighteningly weird person, but it's all a mask to hide a deeply tragic past. Few get to see past the mask, however, so he's just a very eccentric and strange individual...
DESCRIPTION: A former queen of an alien world. Has a nasty temper and is completely vicious, but all is for the sake of protecting her pride and her kingdom.
( If you'd like to have Wrathia possessing your character, let me know! Otherwise, I'll be assuming that she's in the body seen in a flashback. )
DESCRIPTION: an alien warrior princess with a fair share of distrust towards outsiders, but she's getting better... ish... she's unlikely to immediately kill you, at least!
